Podcast Network
Video Editor / Short-Form Specialist
Edit both full episodes and short vertical clips from our show recordings. The work involves more than cutting pauses: you will find the story, preserve the speaker's meaning, and adapt the pacing to the format.
Apply for this roleWhat you will do
- Ingest and organize camera and audio recordings, synchronize sources, and flag missing material or technical problems before editing.
- Edit full episodes: choose camera angles, remove distracting repetitions, and shape the pacing without changing what the speakers mean.
- Balance and clean dialogue, apply basic color correction, and add approved titles, graphics, music, and supporting footage.
- Select moments that stand on their own as reels or shorts; create an opening, reframe for vertical viewing, and check every caption and name.
- Share review cuts, apply consolidated feedback, check the complete exports for errors, and deliver labeled episode, clip, and project files.
What we are looking for
- Examples of both long-form editing and short-form storytelling, with an ear for dialogue and attention to context.
- Confidence in an editing tool such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or an equivalent; ability to clean audio and check captions.
- Reliable file management and realistic turnaround estimates. You should be able to explain why a cut, hook, or sequence works.
Who you will work with
Receive recordings and production notes from the team, and review story and pacing decisions with the founder or host. Coordinate graphics with design and deliver the approved episode and clips to whoever is publishing them.
An example assignment
Take an interview recording through a first cut, feedback, and a finished episode. Identify self-contained moments for vertical clips, reframe the speakers, add checked captions, and deliver the agreed episode and clip versions with project files.
With your application
- Two links: one full episode and one short-form example or collection. Explain your editing contribution to each.
- Your tools, availability, rates, and usual turnaround. Let us know the languages you can confidently edit.
We agree on episode length, clip volume, revisions, delivery dates, and fees before each assignment starts.
